Alexander Ostrovsky Academy in Khimki was opened in September 2011 on the territory of the Tolstoy Park. Alexander Ostrovsky Academy in Khimki is a tennis school meeting the highest standards and offering its visitors a wide range of services, from tennis lessons to renting courts and specialized inventory sales. The Academy is one of the biggest tennis clubs in Moscow region and in Khimki city. The Academy holds several annual tournaments including tournaments of Russian Tennis Tour (RTT) – ‘Khimki Junior Open’. Academy also holds worldwide acknowledged tournaments, such as - Tennis Europe 1 category RWB Christmas Cup U14, ITF Pro Circuit RWB Ladies Cup. Our Academy is not just any other tennis club, here we provide our students not only with tennis lessons but also with the accommodation and the school program that meets high educational standards. We also offer wide range of services like psychological training, ‘Dartfish’ system video analysis and sports massage that ensures to provide everything young junior athlete needs to grow into a champion!

Total area: 1 ha territory, including air-supported construction, which is 3528 m2, management building is 535 m2 and the hotel is making up to 1090 m2.
The Academy’s premises include 11 courts 7 of which are indoors with hard surfaces and the rest 4 courts are clay. There are 4 changing rooms 2 of which are female/male adult ones and another two are for boy/girl kids. There is also a VIP changing room, fitness café, massage room, sportswear store, and lounge zone. Apart from indoors Academy has 6 open-air courts, beach tennis court along with summer arbors available for our clients.
The academy’s hotel premises include a front desk, 9 standard rooms, 1 VIP room, gym with 2 locker rooms and shower, sauna, swimming pool, phyto café and a sportswear store.
During tournaments that are held in our Academy we purpose built the seating area, which offers up to 400 spaces.
The Academy regularly organizes workshops and master classes with professional players and leading Russian tennis specialists.

Our coaches
The Alexander Ostrovsky Academy’s most important department is human resources. The Academy has gathered committed and highly educated team of coaches and managers who constantly improve on their professional skills. All our coaches have a qualified category.
In summer of 2014 the position of head of GPP (general physical preparation) and SPP (specific physical preparation) took the renowned expert and Phd holder, Oleg Vovk. Oleg has previously trained students who became famous tennis players, Galina Voskoboeva, Maria Kirilenko, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Mikhail Youzhny. Alexander Zlatoustov, the master of sports, coach of Russia with honours, became the head coach of the Academy. Alexander has an extensive experience working with with leading Russian players like Igor Kunitsyn, Dinara Safina, Anastasia Myskina and Galina Voskoboeva. Alexander also has been coaching the national team in Beijing, and the women’s national team during Fed Cup (2005-2009). Under his supervision Russians have won trophies three times in 2005, 2007 and 2008. His student’s became the winners in WTA and ITF. He was awarded the gratitude of the Russian Presedent Dmitry Medvedev (2009-2010). Since the end of April 2019, the famous specialist Iain Hughes has been working with the leading player of the Academy Anastasia Potapova.
In 2020, the coaching team of the Academy of Alexander Ostrovsky joined the famous Russian tennis players in the past, one of the strongest and most titled doubles players in the world Ekaterina Makarova and one of the TOP-20 of the ATP singles rankings, the current captain of the Russian women's national team in the Billie Jean King Cup (formerly Fed Cup ) Igor Andreev. Experienced specialists took the positions of a coaches and coaches-methodologists for working with players under the "Avant-garde" program and other leading athletes of the Academy.
